Exosomes are obtained from natural sources and then clinically stabilised for use in cosmetic treatments. At Rejuven8 Cosmetix the 5 billion Exosomes contained in each 5ml treatment are enriched with growth factors, 17 amino acids, 6 peptides and 8 Hyaluronic Acids. When injected into the skin by tiny micro injections, they can stimulate the body’s natural regenerative processes. By encouraging collagen production, tissue repair, and overall rejuvenation, growth factors delivered by exosomes can significantly improve the appearance of the skin and diminish the signs of aging.
Each area treated involves the use of 100’s of tiny mico injections of Exosomes via a unique injecting technology called a V2. This equipment ensures a precise dose, depth and number of injections in the area treated. The treatment is made comfortable by the application of an anaesthetic cream prior to starting the injections.
Exosomes are tiny vesicles released by many types of cells, including stem cells. These vesicles play a crucial role in cell-to-cell communication, shuttling essential biomolecules such as proteins, lipids, mRNA, and microRNA between cells. They are like tiny messengers that deliver critical instructions to target cells, influencing various cellular processes essential for repair, regeneration, and reversal of the natural aging response.
By altering gene expression, Exosomes can effectively boost the skin’s ability to renew and rejuvenate itself, leading to smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin that is also increasingly immune to the effects of pigmentation and redness.
Exosomes also help modulate inflammation and oxidative stress, two factors that contribute to aging and skin damage. By reducing inflammation and neutralizing harmful free radicals, Exosomes protect the skin from further harm while promoting healing and regeneration.
Exosome therapy has many benefits and continues to produce a diverse array of aesthetic results including:
- Anti-inflammatory – the reduction in inflammation creates a visibly less sensitised skin with a more stable skin barrier that repels environmental stressors
- Skin regeneration – Exosomes increase the skins natural ability to heal and regenerate by the stimulation of new collagen formation and elastin
- Neutralising of harmful free radicals – leads to a protective, calming effect on the skin’s natural response to internal and external factors leading to a reduced tendency to hyperpigmentation and hormonal pigmentation in the skin
- Skin rejuvenation – the creation of natural collagen and elastin fibers leads to a smooth, plump, ‘springy’ skin that resists wrinkles
- Increased healing capacity – reduces the pore size and modulates the secretion of toxic sebum onto the skin surface
Exosomes are so versatile that they are also a very effective treatment for Hair Loss & Hair Thinning.
In preparation for your treatment session:
In preparation for your treatment session:
A Complimentary Consultation can be done immediately before your treatment to ensure that this treatment is appropriate and safe for you to have done and assess the amount of injectable product required to achieve your desired result
- Avoid taking blood thinning medications and supplements – these increase the risk of severe bruising and the treatment involves 100’s of tiny micro injections
- Avoid alcohol for 48hrs before treatment – this increases the risk of severe bruising
- Avoid excess sun exposure prior to your treatment
- Avoid any cosmetic treatments that may lead to inflammation or peeling prior to your treatment
Please ‘ask the team’ or call the clinic for detailed advice on how to prepare for your treatment
After the treatment:
Your practitioner will provide you with a written aftercare instruction sheet with advice on what to expect after your treatment and how to look after it
- You may experience redness, swelling (like mosquito bites), bruising and a burning stinging discomfort immediately after or during the treatment. These effects will spontaneously resolve over a matter of hours or days and your cosmetic practitioner can advise on the use of topical skin products to help with this post treatment recovery
- Healite LED light therapy can be added on at the end of the treatment to promote healing, minimise redness & bruising and improve recovery time
- Cold compresses can be used if necessary
- Paracetamol can be taken if necessary (avoid nurofen/aspirin or other blood thinning medications)
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and spas with excess sweating for 2 days
- Avoid swimming in pools for 1 week
- Avoid excess sun exposure for 2 weeks
- High quality cosmeceutical mineral makeup can be applied the day after the treatment
- Clean the skin with a gentle cleanser for 2 days and do not use any ‘active’ or acidic skin care for 2 days.
- All usual skin care products can be resumed the day after the treatment
- Please ask your therapist for advice on the perfect post treatment skin care regimen to enhance and complement your results
It is advisable to book a ‘follow up’ appointment 2-4 weeks after the treatment to review the progress of your treatment and plan your next Exosome therapy. Exosome therapy should be repeated at 4 weekly intervals for a series of 4 treatments and maintenance treatments every 6 months.

What is Exosome Therapy?
Exosomes are the latest in skin regenerating technology. Think of them as tiny, nano-sized messengers that are naturally produced in the body. Packed with proteins, they are crucial players in cell-to-cell communication. They have the ability to transfer information and tweak the behaviour of neighbouring cells.
This intercellular communication can influence:
- Cell regeneration
- Tissue repair
- Increase collagen
- Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
- Increase skin elasticity
- Reduce pore size
- Reduce pigmentation
- Improve skin tone, quality and texture
Why do people need Exosome Therapy?
Exosome Therapy is a revolutionary new treatment to address common skin concerns of wrinkles, aging, sun damage, poor skin laxity, pigmentation and sensitivity.

How long do the results of Exosome Therapy last?
The results from any cosmetic treatment can vary naturally from person to person dependent upon many individual factors relating to the persons overall health, social habits, dietary regimen and skin maintenance program taking into account the severity of skin issues at the start of the treatment program. Exosomes are however a very predictable injectable product being clinically stabilised containing set amounts of active ingredients. Results are seen after 28 days and maximum effects are seen with a treatment program of 4 weekly treatments over a series of 4 treatment sessions. Exosome therapy can provide longer-lasting results compared to some traditional treatments since it encourages the body’s natural regenerative processes.
Yes, Exosomes are derived from natural sources from biocompatible stem cells and are laboratory stabilised, reducing the risk of adverse reactions.
Is Exosome Therapy painful?
Most people report only mild discomfort during the procedure. Depending on the individual’s pain threshold, the pain level may vary but the application of a local anaesthetic cream prior to starting the treatment minimises the discomfort experiences. Many patients describe the feeling as similar to intense ‘prickly heat with a burning ‘itchy’ feeling. The sensation usually disappears shortly after treatment.
Are there any adverse effects?
There aren’t any adverse effects but the skin post treatment will be red, swollen (like mosquito bites) and the presence of bruising is quite common. It is important to remember that the skin has been punctured by 100’s of tiny mico-injections so the area should be considered as a ‘wound’ and avoidance of touching the area with unwashed hands and application of ‘old’ makeup or unhygienic wipes is advised.
What is the cost?
The cost of treatment varies depending on the area to be treated and the number of treatments required. During your consultation, one of our cosmetic professionals will determine the cost for you. Before your treatment begins, you will always be asked to approve the cost.
