Hyperhidrosis is a condition in which the body produces excessive sweat, most commonly in the underarms and palms of the hands. Although it is not a serious health concern, those who suffer from it can experience severe embarrassment and social anxiety. Genetics, hormonal imbalances, certain medications, illnesses or stress are all potential causes of hyperhidrosis. Primary focal hyperhidrosis is the most common type, which is caused by overactive sweat glands and affects up to 3% of the population.
Our excessive sweating treatment is intended to provide you with relief from this embarrassing and unpleasant condition. Contact us to learn more about our hyperhidrosis treatment option and how we can assist you in controlling your sweating.
Our excessive sweating treatment is a simple and safe procedure that uses injections to control sweat production. These injections inhibit the chemicals and relax tiny muscles that stimulate sweat glands, reducing or eliminating sweating in the treatment area such as excessive underarm sweating. The procedure only takes a few minutes and you should see results within 2-4 weeks.
This procedure can be life-changing for people who suffer from excessive sweating. It alleviates embarrassing and uncomfortable sweating, allowing people to dress confidently and enjoy activities without fear of sweat marks or odours. Additionally, this treatment is a safe and effective option with minimal side effects. Even though excessive sweating rarely poses serious health problems, it can cause discomfort and distress, which is why this procedure is so beneficial.

What is the treatment for Hyperhidrosis?
Excessive sweating treatments include the use of Botulinum Toxin A, which is a safe and effective treatment for Hyperhidrosis. It is injected into the affected areas to reduce excessive sweating and works by blocking the release of chemicals and relaxing the tiny muscles that cause sweat glands to become overactive. The treatment may last several months and should be repeated regularly.
Why do people suffer from Hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a common condition that affects a large number of people. Palmar hyperhidrosis, also known as sweaty palms, is the most common type of hyperhidrosis, characterised by excessive sweating of the hands. Other forms include axillary hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating of the underarms; plantar hyperhidrosis, which affects the feet; and facial blushing. The exact cause of hyperhidrosis is unknown, and it is believed to be related to a combination of genetic and environmental factors.
What can untreated Hyperhidrosis lead to?
Untreated hyperhidrosis can lead to several emotional, physical and social problems. It is a medical condition that has severe psychological consequences. Unfortunately, most friends, relatives and even some doctors do not understand the tremendous negative impact that this condition can have on your life.
How long do the results last?
The results of this procedure can last up to 6 months or longer. Results are typically seen within 2-4 weeks and can vary depending on the individual.
Is this procedure painful?
Most patients do not find the injections to be particularly painful. You may experience a slight pinching sensation when the injections are administered, but this should only last a few seconds.
Are there any risks associated with this procedure?
This is considered a safe and effective procedure, but as with all treatments, there are some risks associated with these injections. These may include temporary bruising, redness, swelling or tenderness at the injection site. We will discuss all risks and possible side effects with you before beginning treatment.
How many injections will I require and how much will they cost?
The amount of units and number of injections you require depends on the area or areas being treated but a standard treatment covering both under arm areas requires 100 standard units of Type L Botulinum Toxin in total. During your consultation, one of our cosmetic practitioners will determine your dosage, which can be immediately followed by your treatment. Before your treatment begins, you will always be asked to approve the number of units and the cost.
