Hydrabrasion is a facial treatment that combines the exfoliating benefits of microdermabrasion with the hydrating benefits of water. It is a non-invasive procedure that is suitable for all skin types and can help to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne, and other skin concerns.
During the treatment, a specialised wand is used to simultaneously exfoliate the outermost layer of skin and hydrate it with water. This process helps to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and hydrate the skin, leaving it smoother, brighter, and more youthful looking.
Treatment includes deep cleanse, exfoliating scrub, AHA/BHA mask (dependent upon skin type), hydrabrasion, extractions, gentle cleanse, post treatment serums and sun protectant.
Hydrabrasion treatment begins with a thorough cleansing of the skin. Next, the specialised wand is used to exfoliate the skin using diamond tipped heads. These heads remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells and debris, revealing smoother and more even skin. The wand also simultaneously calms and hydrates the skin with water, which helps to soothe and nourish the skin.
The vacuum suction of the wand helps to remove the debris and impurities that have been loosened by the exfoliation process. This process also helps to stimulate blood flow and lymphatic drainage, promoting healthy skin cell turnover and collagen production.

- Avoid any cosmetic treatments that may lead to inflammation or peeling prior to your treatment

After the treatment:
- Your practitioner will provide you with a written aftercare instruction sheet with advice on what to expect after your treatment and how to look after it
- Clean the skin with a gentle cleanser for 2 days and do not use any ‘active’ skin care for 2 days
- High quality cosmeceutical mineral makeup can be applied the day after the treatment
- Avoid swimming, exercise and sun exposure for 2 days

Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime associated with hydrabrasion treatment. You may experience some mild redness or sensitivity immediately after the treatment, but this should subside within a few hours.
